Is it worth buying; probably not (but I did).

The article on Sasanian use of elephants doesn't tell us anything new in my opinion. I covered this (in greater depth I think) in a Slingshot article c. 2007 'Persian Pachyderms'

I remember one of Phil's articles that mentioned how, unlike other mounts, elephants have a reverse gear.

Still waiting to see that one reflected in a wargames ruleset....

Now there is a thought!  Perhaps I should treat them like triremes in my naval rules, able to perform anastrophe and move backwards as easily as forwards  ::)

Presumably they make some form of beep-beep noise when reversing?
