I just noticed that Maspero's The Kingdom of Champa (1928) was translated in 2002 by White Lotus books out of Thailand.

Luckily my wife will be in Bangkok on the weekend, and so I have prepared detailed instruction on how to get to the Chulalongkorn university bookshop.

And as Vickery says in Champa revised"Champa... has hardly been given critical study since George Masperos's 1928 book."

I also notice that Cham Sculpture by Parmentier and Ayomier is available in English translation.

If my wife can't find it in Bangkok, I am definitely ordering it.

I know I am talking to myself this thread.

But I just noticed on my hard drive that Vickery wrote in 2006 http://michaelvickery.org/vickery2006bayon.pdf an addenda to the Bayon: New Perspectives book. I still like the book - and reread it this weekend - despite the criticism in this Vickery piece.
