Meticulous work that. Astonishing how much is still being found out because folks wrote stuff down in a way that has survived.

Very interesting. As it happens am currently rereading Frahm's superb general history of Assyria.

Interesting.  It not only matters who writes the history, but also who chronicles the Kings' List.

Also admirable readiness by the likes of Frahm to admit that previous assumptions of canon may be wrong.  The classic example was the embarrassment in certain circles of Germanic study regarding the supposed eponymous Gothic ancestor Ostrogothus who had been so confidently asserted to have been pure fiction, right up until the new fragment of Dexippus was identified a couple of years ago, which lo and behold had an Imperial source mentioning Ostrogothus as a very real contemporary threat.
