It is not yet possible to precisely date the site but Langlands said: "I think we're in the fourth century – it really fits that kind of late Roman flourish that we see in the south-west of Britain."

Lady wife and I were discussing this.
Yet another villa in the South East is nice but a major villa in Port Talbot area is genuinely interesting and we might learn something about the Romanisation of the 'periphery' that we didn't know.
