Without wishing to delve too deeply in the "meaning" of coded messages "hidden" in art I wonder whether a more "straightforward" interpretation might be more likely. Given the colour choice used for the highlighted "member" would this not actually be more in line with scatological humour? Otherwise, the gentleman is not only experiencing somewhat of a draft in the lower tunic area but has obviously fallen victim to frostbite in mid-October.
