Decades ago, spent quite a bit of time as a cadet at Nesscliff training camp just down the road (Army insisted on spelling it without the final "e"), famous for having been used filming The Monocled Mutineer, as the camp had hardly any electricity or plumbing and really did have a 1916 feel to it... That said, a lovely spot with excellent training areas.

Will be interesting to see a proper writeup of the dig.
