Very good find, both by the archaeologist and Holly!  Will be very interesting to see what they recover - Roman, Illyrian, Celtic...?

Second century BC? I'm slightly surprised there has been nothing older than that from the Adriatic.

I'm sure we had a report on the forum of a shipwreck associated with Greek colonisation on the Adriatic coast, which would have been earlier.

Add : A quick Google shows this isn't, in fact, even the oldest shipwreck in Croatia.  See, for example,
