Paper on Byzantine warships

Looking for something on Dromon construction, I stumbled on this.  While mainly on 10th century ships, there is a prequel on earlier vessels.  Interesting stuff on horse transportation too.

Thank you.  That is an interesting paper.  I'm not sure if I will ever get to paint a Byzantine fleet, but it is good to know about these things just for the sake of knowing them.
