Anyone any suggestions of sources of information on the Parhae - or Bohai or Balhae depending on which transcription and language 

I haven't been able to find out much so any assistance/suggestions welcome

That's quite a reference list!  I hope a new army and/or informative Slingshot article is in the offing somewhere.
