Just looked up Laugharne in volume 2 of Welsh Marcher Lordships. Seems to have had a chequered life under the de Brians – most of whome were called Guy! Due to a lack of sons it later passed through the female line until in 1395 James, earl of Ormond, got control of it, then lost it along with the rest of his holdings after being on the losing side at the battle of Mortimer's Cross, losing his head after Towton.
