Like Jim, I remember reading this same theory back in the early sixties when I was in the seventh grade (yes, I can remember that far back ;). There was nothing in the article that was new to me.
Been lucky enough to go to Knossos a couple of times, second out of the usual season so we had it to ourselves, it is definitely one of those places that stick in the mind. Otherwise just going to add
