For those who'd prefer the organ-grinder, rather than the monkeys ( ;) ) with all their "how the hell do I get past these unwanted cookies and adverts?", I think this is the recently-published paper that's woken up a few media-types to this phenomenon again: Holocene ocean-atmosphere coupling and Mediterranean sensitivity to Atlantic circulation: Lessons from the Late Bronze Age collapse (https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.aed5439) in the "Science Advances" journal. It's open access, and you can read it online, or download the PDF.
