Syagrius vs Clovis again. Just love the era, what can I say?

Or perhaps it is that Peter is better as a Cunning Carthagian rather than a Ferocious Frank?
Some players are better suited to certain types of armies.

With this game it was a question of working out the correct initial deployment. I managed it after a couple of tries, which means the Romans are toast unless they find a winning formula. Peter and I play in the New Year. Let's see what he comes up with....

BTW I'm busy with the ADLG troop type conversion table, then a few more final modifications to the ruleset and Optio is good to go.

It forces you to think ahead and prepare for 2nd line engagements and reserves
