AD 253-274: reigns of Valerian, Gallienus, Postumus, Tetricus, Claudius II and Aurelian.  It looks as if someone perhaps with a guilty conscience secreted their savings or ill-gotten gains when Aurelian reclaimed Gaul and Britain from Tetricus.
