West Stow seemed more aimed at children when I last went but well worth the visit.

Perhaps you could combine it with a professional engagement - according to the RateBeer website there are two commercial breweries and a dozen or more microbreweries in Suffolk (to say nothing of Greene King; and if it is all the same to you the less said about Greene King the better...)

indeed....a good idea.....and has been used before (like the time I visited Hadrians wall on the way to Edinburgh for a course one time) :)
