Just wondering what figures anybody would recommend for these infantry in 15mm
I've looked at Armies of the Ancient Near East 3000BC to 539BC and effectively it's somebody with tunic, bare legs, round shield for infantry with javelins and no shield for archers.
So I'd be interested in recommendations
Essex ANK26 (https://www.essexminiatures.co.uk/products/ank26) looks to be based on the AANE drawings, or on the same Phoenician metalwork as AANE.

ANK29 (https://www.essexminiatures.co.uk/products/ank29?_pos=1&_psq=ank29&_psid=ab437d263&_ss=e), being nominally Kushite Egyptian, might be suitable, but there's unfortunately no picture.
FWIW, it's one of the two archer codes included in their DBA3 Saite army pack. The other one, though, is dismounted Ramesside chariot archers, which isn't really encouraging as to the degree of historical pickiness that went into putting the pack together.
Pity there's no picture :'(
I do have some of Lancashire Games Kushites https://www.lancashiregames.com/lg0/ab76-archers-advancing.html
in my Kushite army but none of them have that sort of tunic.
Really just need a tunic-wearing archer, like a Babylonian (without the hat) or a late Elamite?
Essex BS36, 90, 106 or 107, but watch out for the beards!
ANK29 Kushite archer could work but you will need to trim off the feathered headdress.
So have you got a photo of ANK29, Steve?
It occurs to me that Minifigs Z77 Numidian archer (http://www.miniaturefigurines.co.uk/images/catalogue/Z77.jpg) might not be far off what Jim wants.

I was thinking of a rebel force to fight against my Achaemenid Persians, but not a formal DBx army.
Just to say I ordered some figures from Essex and some from Caliver (the Minifigs), both on the 28th July. Both lots arrived in the post this afternoon.
So just to flag up good service from both companies 8)
