This is less a new theory as a confirmatory study showing an old theory is less likely than the current front runner.

Reinstating an old theory to knock it down? I always assumed that the stones were transported. Surely we are beyond the "ancient people couldn't have done..." foolishness of a century ago.

If someone was giving out research grants for the long-abandoned glacial theory, I don't see why Mark and Alistair can't pitch a study "Did Stonehenge have a single origin? The evidence for Giant/Merlin collaboration"
