Indeed. I recall my Airfix Ancient Brits had a boar standard, though their's was rather different (based on the Arch of Orange, I think). Also, I now know the proper plural of carnyx - carnyces. Doubtless that will come in handy in future :)

On the Today programme (Radio 4 morning news for those not in the UK) it did say it was thought to be first century AD
