Title: RE Play, at Engineers’ Museum Gillingham
Post by: Martin Smith on Oct 25, 2025, 10:06 AM
Couple of pics- the Hastings club are putting on an Impetus game, on behalf of the SoA,  at the RE Play event in Gillingham in Kent today. Hosted at the excellent Royal Engineers Museum, ME7 1UR.
They're doing a refight of Issus in 28mm on a beautifully presented table.

I have fond memories of Gillingham, many childhood holidays there with my Grandparents.  We never visited the RE museum though.  I do want to get along to this event sometime, it is just a long trip from Falkirk

Excellent looking games, Martin!  I had some buddies attending this show and putting on a game as well.  Their effort was a WWII game.

Jon, do you recall what the game was? It was a small-ish show, so I probably saw the game and may have chatted to the GM... eg Ian Barber?).

Martin, the game was The Attack on Hill 112 in Normandy 1944 using Rapid Fire Reloaded.  Postie's Rejects put on the game and an overview can be seen on Big Lee's blog and You Tube at Re-play-2025-show-report (https://www.blmablog.com/2025/10/re-play-2025-show-report.html).
I regularly game with this group in remote games via Zoom.
