All this chatter by the nimbies objecting to pylons spoiling their view reminds me of an incident during the short-lived Peoples Republic of South Yorkshire in the 1970s.  A company endeavouring to install new equipment at its factory was thwarted by the presence of a workers' outhouse dating back to the dawn of the industrial revolution.  The whole project was deadlocked until the CEO unexpectedly appeared and explained to everyone just how many millions of investment was being held up by the said sh**thouse.  The crane with the big concrete ball moved in later that day....

Anyway, once they have worked out that these particular Roman artefacts were buried somewhat more recently that the 5^th century, doubtless everything will proceed smoothly.
