Came across this article while reading around cavalry wedges.  Ok, its essentially an undergraduate essay rather than a serious academic study but I think I'd be saying "good article" if it was in Slingshot, so worth a read.

I love the way cataphract in Welsh is being rendered "cataffract"...  After all, that is how Arthur must have spelled it when commissioning his Kn(X)
