More on armed Viking women

This article continues Leszek Gardeła's explorations of women buried with weapons.  As might be expected from archaeological research, things are not straightforward .  There is also a mention of another forum favourite - miniature weapons and shields and their meanings.  What does it mean if a woman is buried with a miniature shield pendant?
