Attack! Devizes '26 18/19July (NOT June)

Been away so internet has been intermittent for me so not sure if this has already been covered. Checking my calendar for next few months I noticed that the back cover of Slingshot has Attack! in June - It was the Thursday/Friday that rang alarm bells as the school will surely be in session so a quick internet check confirms date as 18th/19th July. I hope to get there again this year but it is tight to several other commitments.

The Society stand will be present at this show manned by my good self.  Treasurer and Postal Sales Coordinator are also expected, but will be tied up in the competitions.  I am hoping that we will have a participation game of Gladiolus available too.

My thanks to everyone who helped with the Society stand and game at this show, particularly

• Richard Lockwood for bringing his Gladiolus arena
• Dave Hollin, Ian Piper and Robin Horne for looking after the stand on Saturday, giving me a chance to look at the show
• Richard Jeffrey-Cook for minding the stand between competition rounds, giving me a chance to have lunch
• John Graham-Leigh for bringing fresh stock to the show

We gained 2 new members to the Society, as well as a disbursing a reasonable number of games and publications.  The granddaughter of one of show's organisers is now the proud possessor of a copy of 'Alala!, having won it in the raffle.  This will doubtless fire her enthusiasm for classical wargaming in years to come.
