As an aside I also buy into the Constantius III leading or authorising a military expedition in the late 410s

It would make sense for him to send troops back to secure his base, if only to stop his troops mutinying and going back mob handed to sort things out

It all depends on what was there....as I suspect it was probably only laeti and limitanei so any rebellions/sloping off/incursions would be difficult to resist/coordinate
