Actually I was intrigued by the fact that the helmet metal was so thick at the front and so thin at the back. You can see why, but it shows a lot of skill in hammering the helmet out of one piece

Only some of the Athenians were heavily armoured.  After the battle the more lightly equipped men were hurried back to Athens to deter any landing by the Persian forces who had sailed round the coast while the heavily armoured men followed more slowly behind them.

Could have provided an update with an interview with the skull? "Tell me Miltiades, how did you think Marathon went? Obviously, not so good for you, but what were your overall impressions of the home sides' performance but did the away team suffer by only fielding their reserve players?"
