Not a wargames period often considered but fills out the picture of European Bronze Age warfare a little.

Thank you - a very good read, and I liked his caution in assuming everything in a bog must be a ritual deposit.  I had no idea of the density of finds of Bronze Age weapons there.

Thanks Anthony, very interesting.

I was struck by the number of sites around Baltinglass in Wicklow where I live. Having watched the Baltinglass ladies Gaelic football team in action against my daughter's side I have a suspicion that the fortifications were built to keep the locals confined within.
