Creating something of a loophole here, I thought I might offer this link (found on TMP and not another rerun posted by Tango) of a recent wargame that seems to have found a nice compromise between skirmish-level and acceptable size for a typical wargame.
The blog post also features mention of a new set of rules. Is any one familiar with these? Should they be added to the list of "to be reviewed"?
Here is the link:

Guessing that many of the active members might already be aware of this excellent organization/club.
Cross posting isn't ideal (it can get a bit incestuous) but in this case, a game played with rules not previously mentioned, thus widening our collective horizons, is fine. Unfortunately, while the report is pretty it doesn't explain much about how the rules work.
PS - Sorry about shunting this but here seemed more appropriate, as you hadn't actually played the game, whereas external game reports do get posted here.
mea culpa, mea culpa . . .
Transgression noted and apology tendered as well as thanks for the appropriate shunting.
Agreed, there was a dearth of info re how the rules actually work, hence the suggestion for a possible review.
In other news, I have experienced some trouble logging on from home station . . . Not exactly sure why as all other wargaming links are working. Hmmm. ??? :(
