Two Ancients games from Historicon 2025 using To the Strongest!
Last of To the Strongest! (https://blundersonthedanube.blogspot.com/2025/08/historicon-2025-last-of-to-strongest.html)
A further piece on the Battle of Sabis here (https://dinofbattle.blogspot.com/2025/03/gallic-wars-battle-of-sabis-river-57-bc.html) on the organiser's blog. He gives some of his preparation but a lot more detailed images of the Wofun armies. I think they give an interesting massed effect and the colour coded and labelled units are very tidy. Still not sure about those white edges, though.
they do look nice but I would have to buy the premade ones as cutting and gluing all of those would drive me insane

I have stumbled across a YouTube video or blog post (cannot recall exact site - sorry) wherein the WoFun convert gave a class about shading these white edges so that they would not attract so much attention.
Ironic, that pre-painted or printed figurines would require painting, though this extra measure was more in line with touching up I guess.
Another example of 'horses for courses'?
Ironic and or coincidental that Paraetacene would be presented as well . . . in 10mm no less. Those phalanxes looked interesting.
10mm is the answer....
I was intrigued by the 'Antigonads'.

Had you not brought this battle forward with your tour de force post, I may not have introduced this alternative view.
Possibly missed in the co-incidental department is the Battle of Sablis. In another thread on Chris' musings on Paraitekene, I obliquely referenced Charles Grant's refight of a legion battle, which those who knew the book would spot was the Battle of the Sambre, commonly called Sablis these days.

Careful now . . . ::)
