It's probably designed that way to deter drunken yahoos from nicking the toilet seats and wearing them around their necks...

The bottom right one sort of reminds me safety wise of knocking out the downstairs ring main armed only with a toaster and a hot cross bun.  One currant was all it took to ensure no more current.

I remember when growing up Kelloggs had 6 single serving boxes of cereals in a pack. One side was perforated so that you could turn the box into your bowl. H

Checking online and they still have them.
