Looking at Google Maps, the former Astra cinema is just south of the Porta Borsari, which looking at the Roman Verona map at https://italianreflections.wordpress.com/2020/06/22/the-two-gateways-of-verona/ might mean that the building was just outside the city walls, if that makes any difference.
Ah, so outside fair Verona is where we lay our scene.
Maybe the cinema was showing Quo Vadis...
