Intriguing
I was left wondering whether it was the right body and she had been 'administratively' male or whether it's the wrong body?

Given that they think she may be older than the dating suggested by the sarcophagus, I suspect she has somehow ended up in the wrong coffin.

Perhaps the priest faked his own death by finding a different mummy to bury, while he skipped off to live in Rome with the contents of the temple treasury?

I suspect the mummy traders.  That's a nice sarcophagus but the value could have been reduced if the mummy had been wrecked by looters.  So replace it with a new mummy it better nick to create one premium product.
