Holmes: Watson, when you look at this exquisite mosaic floor, what does it tell you about this house?

Watson (after some thought): Well, it tells me that the house is of great antiquity and those who laid this floor, many centuries ago, were, indeed, master craftsmen.  Can we ever hope to see their like again?

Holmes: You're a fool, Watson.  Someone has stolen the carpets!
