Title: New Clontarf website
Post by: Mick Hession on Aug 08, 2017, 11:02 AM

The proceedings of a special conference in 2014 marking the millennium of Clontarf have been published in Medieval Dublin XVI, which I picked up at the weekend. One of the outputs is a new website dedicated to the battle and the period - https://dh.tcd.ie/clontarf/node/1 (https://dh.tcd.ie/clontarf/node/1)

I gather the intention is to add new material as it becomes available.

Cheers

Thanks Mick, we played Clontarf as a big multi-player game on the thousand year anniversary, using (slightly modified, basically the inclusion of 'Heroes') DBMM2, and it was a cracker, I have sent the link to the old clubmates.  I still have a copy of the Scenario and notes if anyone is interested.

Thanks Mick.  Happens to co-incide with me reading accounts of Clontarf at the moment, so doubly interesting.

Good to see Mick,  Duffy's book is well worth a read.

I'll second that.
