Title: Naukratis excavations

BM-led excavation suggests that Naukratis was twice as big as previously thought, and could be directly accessed by sea-going ships. Finds to feature in the "Sunken Cities" exhibition next year.

All to the good, and as a useful by-product it incidentally underpins Herodotus' general reliability as a source.
