Post by: Duncan Head on May 25, 2026, 04:09 PM
"A poor man's armour? Late-medieval leather armour from excavations in the Netherlands (https://www.archeologiedordrecht.nl/dds/up/ZmyofrkKafgR_Leather_in_Warfare_Late-medieval_leather_armour_from_excavations_in_the_Netherlands_Marloes_Rijkelijkhuizen_and_Marquita_Volken.pdf)" (pdf link)

This isn't a new article, but I hadn't come across it before. It's from a 2017 conference (https://www.archeologiedordrecht.nl/hollands-oudste-stad/overzicht-publicaties/artikelen).

By the same author - "A rediscovered leather vambrace from Dordrecht (https://www.academia.edu/49536104/A_rediscovered_leather_vambrace_from_Dordrecht_the_Netherlands)"
