The incident reminds me of one in school where someone defaced a piece of art in the corridor. The Deputy Head summoned the senior prefects and sent them to bring the culprit to justice. It was a quick job - the boy had written his nickname  ::)

Of course, the damage to the walls from this incident pales into insignificance compared with that perpetrated by Cromwell's armies and more modern city councils.
