My favourite Ancient Egyptian fact is that it was so old even to them that they had Egypytologist to study Ancient Egypt.
A nice summation. There is a very good section on the khopesh or sickle sword in the book 'The perfect Sword' by Paul Gething. It was a well designed weapon for the task.
(Edit auto-correct got very weird there, 'Sword' of course, makes a bit more sense!)
