It is a tough call. Mind you Russian forces did steal the bones of 18th-century Russian Prince Grigory Potemkin from his tomb in St. Catherine's Cathedral in Kherson, Ukraine.

The Russians have engaged in an awful lot of looting of sites in Ukraine and beyond. It may be that this chap was the vaguely ethical one, but that will teach him to think he can travel abroad...

And given he is from the Hermitage, the original Tsarist loot collection, a certain irony!
